Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh said that the process of filling the vacant posts in the department should be ensured as soon as possible and the posts for which the requisition has been sent to the commission should be coordinated with them and recruitment should be done as soon as possible. Singh said that promotions should be done as soon as possible on the pending posts of promotion in the department. There are 424 posts of Veterinary Service and 1083 posts of Animal Husbandry Extension Officer vacant in the Animal Husbandry Department. There are 02 posts of Chief Dairy Development Officer, 03 posts of Dairy Development Officer, 26 posts of Senior Dairy Inspector and 209 posts of State Dairy Inspector vacant in the Dairy Development Department. He said that in view of the need of work, work should be taken on the posts of Group ‘D’ through outsourcing.
Dharampal Singh gave these instructions during the review of vacancies and departmental budget in his office room in Vidhan Bhawan. While reviewing the departmental budget, he said that the amount allocated for the schemes should be released as soon as possible and the proper use of the budget should be ensured by setting targets. Under no circumstances should the provisioned budget be surrendered.
Along with this, he directed that the funds for the establishment of cow protection centers and the funds allocated for district plans should be released soon. The Animal Husbandry Minister gave strict instructions to investigate the complaints received regarding the operation of mobile veterinary units operating in the state and take effective action and not to make payment to the implementing agency in case of negligence. He said that special attention should be given to artificial insemination program, state livestock farm, fodder development program and livestock insurance scheme and its benefits should be made available to as many people as possible. He said that livestock and milk production have an important contribution in the economy of the state and have an important role in making the state a one trillion dollar economy.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Animal Husbandry Department, Ravindra Kumar informed the Minister in detail about the departmental and related approvals and departmental vacancies and said that strict compliance of the instructions given by the Honorable Minister will be ensured.
Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Devendra Pandey, Special Secretary Dairy Ram Sahay Yadav, Anand Kumar, Dairy Director, Administration and Development of Animal Husbandry Department Dr Raghunath Singh, Director Disease Control and Field Dr PN Singh, Executive Officer of LDB Dr Neeraj Gupta and Additional Director Dr AK Verma along with other senior officers of the government were present in the meeting.
